This CD was released in late October 2005. By January 2006 it had climbed to NUMBER FOUR on the US Blues Radio Charts (as reported by Living Blues Magazine). GLAD YOU’RE MINE opened numerous doors for the band, including a recording contract with the prestigious Chicago-based label Delmark Records. In fact, soon after this studio recording, Mississippi Heat signed with that famed label and released a LIVE CD and DVD called ONE EYE OPEN – LIVE AT ROSA’S LOUNGE, CHICAGO” (DELMARK DE-783 and DELMARK DVD 1783).

GLAD YOU’RE MINE was awarded first prize by the “German Music Critic’s Award” (PREIS DER DEUTSCHEN SCHALLPLATTENKRITIK), Berlin, 2006.

He has masterful command of tone and can belt out riffs or stabs when needed but is at his best when taking a lead and constructs beautiful, musical lines, even when in strict blues territory. … Intriguingly, Lacocque achieves an almost clarinet like fluidity at times. … [GLAD YOU’RE MINE] gives singer Inetta Visor the scope to use her fabulous voice.
